Authorities in Florida are searching for a Grinch accused of stealing a box full of donated toys from a restaurant that was collecting them for a charity drive.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said the incident took place at the Barbecue Beer Company restaurant and bar in Jensen Beach on Monday night. After reviewing security video, the sheriff’s office released images of a woman wearing a Santa hat in the hope of identifying her.
“Security video shows the woman, who was sitting at the bar earlier, leaving and dragging a large box of donated toys out of the restaurant while telling a patron she was taking the toys to the fairgrounds,” the sheriff’s office said. “The toys, which were intended for a charity drive benefiting a specific needy family through Elev8Hope never arrived.”…
