Former Jupiter Papa John’s employee accused of stealing over $8K in fake return scheme

JUPITER, Fla. (CBS12) — Police arrested a Jupiter man Thursday, accusing him of pocketing $8,499 in fake refunds from Papa John’s over 10 months.

Officers with the Jupiter Police Department say they began investigating a Papa John’s employee, 37-year-old Eric Hawrylciw, for stealing from the pizza spot from October 2024 to July 2025.

The supervisor of the Jupiter Papa John’s location told police that managers had alerted him to the longtime employee’s suspicious behavior, saying he often refunded orders and kept the money for himself…
