VERO BEACH — What began as a simple Facebook post asking for help turned into a reminder that kindness still surfaces when neighbors look out for one another.
Ann Brown wasn’t sure what to expect when she posted a plea in the Vero Beach Friendly Neighborhood Page after her husband, Jason Brown, dropped his cellphone into the water at the Riverside Park boat launch. The phone slipped straight down into the murky water, despite several unsuccessful attempts to retrieve it.
“Anyone with the ability to dive, snorkel, has an underwater GoPro or metal detector,” Brown wrote, explaining the phone had been lost beneath the surface and recovery attempts had failed…
