Stuart, Florida’s law enforcement has made headway in a case surrounding the audacious theft of a pet conure named Cookie. According to the CBS12, the black-capped conure was pilfered from a Pet Supermarket in late November, and Stuart Police detectives have successfully nabbed a young suspect, just 18-years-old, responsible for the avian abduction.
The Stuart Police Department worked expediently, chasing down leads and collecting evidence that would ultimately piece together a solid case against the accused. In a sequence of events shared by WPBF, detectives referred the case to the detective bureau for further investigation, which swiftly led to the suspect’s arrest.
