Jupiter Medical Center receives $35 million for new patient care tower

Palm Beach County’s Jupiter Medical Center in southeastern Florida has announced a $35 million gift from Tim and Jayne Donahue to fund construction of a new patient care tower.

The largest award in the medical center’s history serves as a lead gift in the completion for the hospital’s main campus—estimated to cost $135 million—which is scheduled to open this month. The new five-story tower—named for the couple—will include 92 beds boosting the medical center’s inpatient capacity to 340 beds and provide state-of-the-art oncology, cardiovascular, orthopedic, and rehabilitation services, as well as integrated simulation and hands-on skills training across disciplines to boost patient care and safety.
