Road closure in Stuart begins ahead of 52nd annual Boat Show

MARTIN COUNTY, Fla (CBS12) — Northwest Dixie Highway is closing for nearly a week to accommodate the 52nd annual Stuart Boat Show, the largest boat show on Florida’s Treasure Coast. The closure begins Tuesday and runs through 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, while the event is underway.

According to city officials, Northwest Dixie Highway will be closed between Southwest Albany Avenue, just south of the old Roosevelt Bridge, and Northwest Poinsettia Street. The closure also includes the Florida East Coast Railroad crossing at Northwest Fern Street, located north of the St. Lucie River drawbridge.

Drivers are encouraged to use U.S. 1 over the Roosevelt Bridge as an alternate route during the closure…
