Mattamy Homes donates $15,000 to Treasure Coast Wildlife Center

PALM CITY — More than a hundred walkers and runners gathered at the KC Trails newly opened southern trailhead for the Third Annual Tortoise Trot 5K at Newfield. The 2026 race course now offers access to areas of the Kiplinger Conservancy that were not part of previous race routes.

The race, sponsored by Mattamy Homes, raised money, in part, to benefit the Treasure Coast Wildlife Center. “Newfield was created to celebrate this land and the natural beauty that defines it,” said Dan Grosswald, Mattamy Homes’ Southeast Florida Division president. “The Tortoise Trot 5K gives the community a chance to experience these trails up close while supporting the important work of the Treasure Coast Wildlife Center.”…
