FORT PIERCE — In the fields southeast of the I-95 and Indrio Road interchange in Fort Pierce, Buc-ee’s, the legendary chain famous for its massive stores, rows upon rows of fuel pumps, and spotless restrooms, is preparing to plant its beaver flag in St. Lucie County.
Erick Gill, communications director for St. Lucie County, recently confirmed “Buc-ee’s has permit applications in, and is awaiting their Final Site Plan approval.”
The path to this 46.63-acre site began in October 2007, a retail sub-parcel was carved out and sold for $2.6 million to Indrio Road Shoppes Fla LLC, with partial seller financing that was fully satisfied by December 2008, leaving the parcel debt-free…
