INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A wind chill advisory has been issued for several areas along Florida’s eastern seaboard, where temperatures are expected to drop sharply overnight, creating hazardous conditions for residents and visitors early Friday morning.
The National Weather Service warned that wind chills could fall as low as 27 degrees in Indian River County, Coastal St. Lucie County, Inland Martin County, the Northern Brevard Barrier Islands and the Southern Brevard Barrier Islands. The advisory takes effect from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. EST on Friday, with the coldest readings likely during the pre-dawn hours.
