St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office set to address two criminal investigations

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — St. Lucie County officials are expected to provide updates this afternoon on two separate criminal investigations that unfolded days apart.

A press conference is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office.

The first involves a truck stop arrest that investigators later connected to a homicide. Deputies initially arrested truck driver Olson Jean for resisting an officer without violence, a misdemeanor, after receiving a 911 call reporting a suspicious truck parked in a ditch near the Pilot Travel Center.

While investigating the scene, deputies found blood on the truck’s passenger door and inside the cabin. Investigators say the blood belonged to Wendy Moncion of Coconut Creek, who they identified as a murder victim…
