The shooting occurred around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday in the 3600 block of Avenue R, located west of State Road 615 in Fort Pierce. According to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to reports of gunfire and multiple victims injured at the scene.
When first responders arrived, they secured the area, provided emergency medical aid, and coordinated with St. Lucie County Fire District personnel to transport the wounded individuals to a nearby hospital.
