Deputies capture 9-foot long boa constrictor outside woman’s home

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A woman walked outside of her home and found a non-native, non-venomous visitor resting outside earlier this week. The unwelcomed culprit was a 9-feet long boa constrictor that slithered its way into the woman’s yard.

“She went outside and it startled her. So, she called 911,” said Lt. Kevin Jaworski, a spokesperson for the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office. No injuries were reported.
