Man charged in armed robbery of Burger King, threats to kill employees in 2024

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A man who was already in jail for an unrelated robbery has been charged with a violent robbery at a Vero Beach Burger King in 2024.

Two Burger King employees had a frightening encounter in September 2024 when an armed man forced his way into the restaurant, herded them into a cooler, threatened to kill them, and stole their cell phones and cash from the safe and registers.

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office says employees had to use their work headset to ask a drive-thru customer to call 911…
