Vero Beach AAUW hosts free book review on women’s entrepreneurship

VERO BEACH — Local radio host Ellen Contreras will lead a discussion on starting new ventures later in life at a free community event next month, joined by the author of a book aimed at inspiring women entrepreneurs.

The Vero Beach branch of the American Association of University Women is hosting the Book Review Breakfast at 9:30 a.m. on March 2 in the Richardson Center at Indian River State College’s Vero Beach campus. Contreras, founder and host of the iHeartRadio show “Treasure Coast Connector,” will review “The Little Girls’ Guide to Entrepreneurship: What I Now Know but Wish I Knew Then” by Emily McHugh.

McHugh, the book’s author, plans to attend and share personal viewpoints, adding a direct connection for attendees. The pair will cover topics such as trusting one’s instincts, viewing life experience as a strength and jumping into new ideas even if the timing isn’t ideal…
