Massachusetts Woman Fatally Struck by Car While Sunbathing in Fort Pierce, Florida

A tragic incident occurred on February 7 in Fort Pierce, Florida, when a Massachusetts woman lost her life after a car careened into the pool area where she was sunbathing. Boston.com reported that the Fort Pierce Police Department responded to the 911 call around 2:10 p.m. at the 1600 block of Laurel Leaf Lane, where 65-year-old Anastasia Fiona Allman was struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

After veering off the roadway, the vehicle, driven by a 38-year-old woman, crashed through hedges and fencing before entering the residential pool area and hitting Allman, pinning her beneath the car. Despite the swift response of law enforcement and emergency services, Allman, a Massachusetts resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. A “medical episode” might have been suffered by the driver at the time of the crash, according to preliminary investigation findings by the police department, as per a report by WFLX.

The driver’s identity remains undisclosed. She was transported to a local hospital shortly after the accident and has been released in stable condition.
