VERO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Spring Break starts a month from Monday – and for many teachers and administrators. Time is ticking. In elementary schools, the pressure is on to get kids at reading level.
And as the I-Team has been investigating in our “Why Our Kids Can’t Read” reports, there are a multitude of reasons why that’s harder than ever. Just a reminder of what we are looking at here – in 2025, 57 percent of Florida students were at reading level.
That’s actually 4% higher than in 2024. But – 57%, that’s still an “F”…
