Stray bullet pierces home, injures 12-year-old in Fort Pierce; police seek public’s help

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A 12-year-old boy is still recovering at the hospital days after being struck by a stray bullet in Fort Pierce. Now, police are asking for the public’s help to find whoever is responsible.

Fort Pierce police said the boy was inside his house in the Lincoln Park neighborhood when he was hit by a stray bullet late Friday night.

Detectives said several family members were in the home on North 22nd Street, just around the corner from New Life Christian Fellowship Church, when someone fired shots toward the house…
