Jupiter Medical Center Expands Orthopedic Innovation with MISHA® Knee System

JMC is first in Florida to offer minimally invasive implant for medial knee osteoarthritis

February 27, 2026 – Jupiter Medical Center (JMC) announced today that it has completed its first implantation of the MISHA® Knee System, the first implantable shock absorber (ISA) designed to reduce load on the knee joint, relieve pain, preserve function, and potentially delay the need for total knee replacement surgery. The procedure was performed by Marc Matarazzo, MD, a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon.

This milestone introduces to the region a technology recently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), offering a new treatment option for patients with mild to moderate medial knee osteoarthritis who have exhausted conservative therapies but are not yet candidates for joint replacement.
