A Florida man remains at large after police say he fatally shot his estranged wife and her colleague outside a public library in what officials described as a “targeted marital issue.”

According to a press conference shared by TCPalm, the victims — Danny J. Ooley, 56, and Stacie E. Mason, 49 — were found with multiple gunshot wounds around 7 a.m. on March 24 in a parking lot at the main branch of the Indian River County Library System in Vero Beach.

Vero Beach Police Chief David Currey said during the press conference that detectives identified Mason’s husband of 13 years, Jesse Scott Ellis, 64, as a person of interest after reviewing surveillance footage. The couple had been separating and moving toward divorce in recent months, and their home was being sold, Currey said, adding that it appeared Mason and Ooley were romantically involved…
