Jupiter man accused of stealing more than $5K in electronics from WPB Best Buy

A Jupiter man was arrested after West Palm Beach police said he stole more than $5,000 in computer electronics from a Best Buy on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard and caused about $1,500 in damage to a display case during the incident, according to an arrest report and probable cause affidavit.

Police identified the suspect as Nicholas Wayne Henson, 35. He was booked on one count of aggravated grand retail theft over $3,000 and one count of criminal mischief over $1,000, court paperwork shows. The arrest paperwork lists the store’s reported loss at $5,165 and says the damaged glass added roughly another $1,500 in repair costs.

According to investigators, the theft happened Feb. 3 at the Best Buy at 1880 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. Loss prevention staff told police a man entered the store multiple times, took computer electronics from a secured display area, concealed the merchandise and left without paying. The affidavit says the suspect returned to the store a second time to take more items, then came back a third time and damaged the glass display before fleeing in a dark-colored SUV…
