PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A chain reaction crash in Port St. Lucie ended in a school bus being struck and sending one student to the hospital.
Officers with the Port St. Lucie Police Department say that around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, the school bus came to a complete stop at the intersection of SE Elhart Terrace and SE Lyngate, with a sedan stopped behind the bus. Moments later, a third vehicle struck the sedan from behind with enough force to shove it into the rear of the bus.
