Tiger Woods faces awkward Masters appearance after arrest even if he can’t play

Tiger Woods was set for a big week at the Masters, even if he does not play, but it is set to be a much more awkward affair after he was charged following a car crash on Friday.

Woods is facing misdemeanor charges of DUI, property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test after his Land Rover clipped a truck while trying to overtake in Jupiter Island, Florida, rolling over before settling on its side. No injuries were reported.

The 50-year-old was arrested by Martin County officers, who suspected the 15-time major champion was under the influence. Woods blew zeroes on a breathalyzer test, clearing him of alcohol use, but police said he “exemplified signs of an impairment,” and officers believed he was “some type of medication or drug.”…
