Firefighters rescued a trapped occupant and five dogs from a house fire in Port St. Lucie, Sunday.
Crews responded around 1:50 a.m. after reports of smoke and a possible person calling for help inside the home, according to a St. Lucie County Fire District Facebook post.
Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke from the roofline and found all doors secured.
