Audrey Coldwell Earns Eagle Scout Rank And Special Award

Audrey Coldwell of Scout Troop 4013 recently reached the prestigious Eagle Scout rank, and she also received the Brian Morgan Spirit of Scouting Youth Award.

Coldwell passed her Eagle Board of Review on Tuesday, Feb. 17. For her Eagle project, she installed a bird strike deterrent system on windows at Jonathan Dickinson State Park’s Kimbell Education and Visitor Center, with the support of her troop and staff from Audubon Everglades. She also designed and provided educational brochures to educate the public about the important issue of bird strike prevention.

Coldwell is heavily involved with the Gulf Stream Council and has twice staffed its National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) course, held annually at Tanah Ketah Scout Camp in Hobe Sound. She holds the Brotherhood rank in the Order of the Arrow scouting honor society and serves as a representative for her troop and as youth administrative lead for the upcoming section conference. Coldwell also staffs Tanah Ketah summer camp, helping scouts earn a variety of merit badges. In Troop 4013, she has served as scribe, assistant senior patrol leader and senior patrol leader, and is currently a junior assistant scoutmaster.
