VERO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A man is accused of threatening mass violence against an alcohol and recovery center in Vero Beach on Thursday.
At about 5:21 p.m., the Vero Beach Police Department received a 911 call about a threatening phone call made to the recovery center Thrive, located at 2300 5th Street.
During the call, the suspect, identified as Michael Sean O’Brien, threatened to come to the location armed with an “AK rifle” and “light the building up.” Detectives immediately launched an investigation where they were able to identify O’Brien as the suspect.
On Friday, at 3:30 p.m., O’Brien was located and taken into custody at his job. Police say he was cooperative and compliant during the arrest…
