Man sentenced in stolen vehicle crash that killed Dwyer High student Tiger Rollins

JUPITER, Fla. (CBS12) — A man charged in connection with the 2022 drowning death of a Dwyer High School student has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty in Palm Beach County court.

Emonte Brown entered a guilty plea on Wednesday to a charge of manslaughter. He had also been charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle and fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, according to court documents.

In February 2022, 17-year-old Tiger Rollins and two others fled from Jupiter police after stealing a Nissan vehicle from the Mallards Cove development, according to the arrest report. The body of Rollins was found hours later in a canal near Alternate A1A and Donald Ross Road…
