Residents displaced, 1 sent to hospital after 2-alarm fire in Vancouver

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A two-alarm fire resulted in damage to a home in Vancouver and one person sent to the hospital on Sunday morning, officials said.

Just after 11 a.m., the Vancouver Fire Department responded to a fire at a two-story home at 12801 NE 4th Ave. Clark County Fire District 6 also responded within minutes. When firefighters arrived, they saw flames and smoke coming from the back of the house.

“Firefighters immediately deployed hose lines to the back of and inside the house to extinguish the fire,” the Vancouver Fire Department said in a press release.

Crews searched the home and found one person inside. They carried the man outside and gave him medical aid. He was later taken to the hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries…
