Woman accused of flying with 75 pounds of high-potency Oregon weed gets arrested

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A woman who flew from Oregon to Kentucky with 75 pounds of high-potency marijuana was arrested this week.

Danielle M. Mensah, a 30-year-old with addresses in both Worcester, Massachusetts and Charlotte, North Carolina, allegedly hired an Uber after landing in Kentucky and used it to transport her and the marijuana to Bowling Green.

She was arrested by Kentucky State Police without incident later that day and was determined to have a history of trafficking marijuana in Portland.

According to court records obtained by KOIN 6 News, Mensah tried to board a flight from Portland International Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport in 2023. A Delta Airlines employee reportedly noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from her luggage. Detectives said they later found nearly 29 pounds of marijuana in her bags…
