GLADSTONE, Ore. (KATU) — Two teenagers drowned in separate incidents in Oregon over the weekend, prompting renewed warnings from water rescue officials about the importance of wearing life jackets and making safe decisions around waterways.
A teenager fell from a jet ski near Meldrum Bar Park in Gladstone on Saturday evening and drowned. Along the Oregon coast, an 18-year-old drowned in the Siletz River Gorge after jumping from rocks.
