‘Especially concerning’: Invasive emerald ash borer spotted in 3 more Oregon cities

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Oregon officials are warning about the spread of an invasive insect spreading across the Willamette Valley.

On Tuesday, the Oregon Department of Forestry announced that the tree-killing emerald ash borer was recently located in three more cities in Oregon and is urging residents to report sightings to help stop the spread.

Among the recent sightings: Newberg.
