PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A man’s body was recovered from the Willamette River Wednesday morning just north of Steel Bridge.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team recovered the body at about 9:45 a.m. near the river’s west bank.
According to the sheriff’s office, at least two people called 911 around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday to report seeing a man swimming near the pier at the McCormick Pier Condominiums. The callers said they lost sight of the man in the water and never saw him come back to shore…
