HILLSBORO Ore. (KPTV) – A man was sentenced on Wednesday in Washington County Circuit Court for domestic violence that included rape, strangulating and assault, according to the district attorney’s office.
Sage Robert Tarango was sentenced to 12 and a half years in prison, or 150 months, after a jury found him guilty of rape, strangulation, unlawful use of a weapon, and assault.
According to the DA’s office, Beaverton police were sent to an apartment home after a report of domestic violence on Jan. 4, 2024. The officers were told that Tarango had entered the victim’s home and forced her into a backroom.
Tarango was still inside when police arrived. Once he was arrested, officers spoke with the victim, who said Tarango had also been violent in previous incidents…
