Oregon’s second busiest airport is planning to veer away from leaded gas in the next few years, and the Hillsboro City Council voiced its full support.
At a Tuesday, July 21 meeting, the Hillsboro City Council unanimously approved a resolution in support of the Port of Portland’s plan to eliminate leaded fuel at the Hillsboro Airport by 2030, citing environmental and health concerns for locals.
