PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – The Hillsboro Police Department is searching for suspects after around 80 vases were taken from grave sites at Fir Lawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, authorities announced Tuesday.
According to police, Fir Lawn staff reported the theft on Monday, reporting the bronze vases were taken from graves at 1070 W Main Street.
Authorities said the vases stand about 10 inches tall and weigh about 10 pounds.
“These belong to families who come to visit and remember people they’ve lost,” Hillsboro Police Department said in a Facebook post. “Taking them from a cemetery is a hard thing to understand, and we’d really like to get them back where they belong.”…
