Portland Radio legend Bob Miller has passed away. He died Sunday at his home in Astoria. He was 74.
Miller came to 1190 KEX in 1979 from his home in Huntington, West Virginia to become the station’s program director and midday host working from 10 a.m. to noon. In 1983, Bob moved into the 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. shift at KEX.
In 1983, Bob was asked to program KEX and the group’s FM station KQFM. Miller felt that programming both stations wouldn’t allow him to put his full effort toward his on air work. He really wanted to host mornings and in 1985, Bob switched shifts with Jimmy Hollister…
