Voters selecting Multnomah County’s next top executive this fall will see only part of candidate Sharon Meieran’s campaign pitch in the Voters’ Pamphlet.
That’s because the emergency room doctor and former county commissioner filed a candidate statement that significantly exceeded the 325-word limit set by the state.
As a result, the Multnomah County Elections Division informed Meieran last week that it would cut 158 words from the end of her candidate statement.
