VANCOUVER Wash. (KPTV) – A house was destroyed by fire in northeast Vancouver on Sunday evening.
At 7:30 p.m., crews with the Vancouver Fire Department were sent to a burning house on Northeast 35th Street. Firefighters said they searched the home twice but couldn’t find anyone inside.
Danny Dwyer, who lives a block away, said he saw smoke and immediately started knocking on neighbors doors.
“As fast as I can get out of the car, I was yelling at somebody in the house because there’s a car there. I didn’t know if anybody was home or not, so I want to get anybody out if they could hear me,” Dwyer said…
