PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Forbes-recognized Portland tea spot is shuttering its last remaining location.
Wednesday, Sept. 9 will be Tea Bar’s final day of operations at 1055 NW Northrup St., owner Erica Indira Swanson revealed on Monday. The founder decided against renewing the lease as she sets her sights on a different business model, according to the announcement.

“Our wholesale community has grown tremendously, and we are focusing our energy on expanding Tea Bar through wholesale, events and franchising, with the hope of bringing Tea Bar to more cities, more homes and more communities,” Indira Swanson wrote. “We are incredibly grateful for our wholesale partners throughout Portland and beyond. Please continue to support them and enjoy Tea Bar wherever you find us. We will be sharing more of our partners here, along with where you can find us popping up around town.”
