If you’re looking for a Vietnamese restaurant that’s just a little bit different than the rest, then Pho Hathanh is where you want to go. The owners are from Hanoi, and they specialize in Northern Vietnamese food. One of my favorite things from the area are the crispy spring rolls that are fried in rice paper, and there’s are wonderful. We also had the grilled pork bun bowls in the Hanoi style. They serve them a little differently there in a special fish sauce broth with the noodles on the side. It was very good. They also have pho, banh mi, and Vietnamese stew. It’s set in an old house and is very cozy.
