Driver clocked at 109 mph on Delta Highway during drag racing patrols

PORTLAND, Ore. (KION) – A driver was cited for going 109 miles per hour on Delta Highway on Tuesday, according to Eugene Police.

​The Eugene Police Traffic Safety Unit was investigating reports of drag racing on Delta Highway from Valley River Center to Beltline Highway.

​They said the speeding driver was in a 45-mile-per-hour zone — going 64 miles over the speed limit.
