PORTLAND, OR — A former Oregon prosecutor and true-crime writer is taking Multnomah County’s top prosecutor to court over records connected to the long-running Kyron Horman case.
Janine O’Neill says the district attorney’s office wrongfully withheld information she requested about the disappearance of Kyron, who was 7 years old when he vanished from Skyline School in northwest Portland in 2010. He has never been found.
The lawsuit centers on a records release that O’Neill says was so heavily blacked out it was effectively the same as a denial. In the filing, she asks a judge to order the office to turn over the records without the redactions…
