Pedestrian seriously injured after being struck at Vancouver crosswalk

A 55-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after a pickup truck struck her while she was crossing NE 137th Avenue in a marked crosswalk in Vancouver on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Deputies responded at approximately 8:58 a.m. to the collision at the intersection of NE 137th Avenue and NE 99th Street. The woman was walking a dog when the driver of a white 2012 Ford F-150 turned right from eastbound NE 99th Street onto NE 137th Avenue and struck her, according to a Clark County Sheriff’s Office news release.

American Medical Response transported the woman to a local hospital. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The dog was not injured and was reunited with its family…
