PORTLAND, OR – Day laborers can no longer wait for work outside the the Mall 205 Home Depot. Sunday, workers and their families demonstrated at the store, demanding they be allowed to return.
Since July, Security guards have forced day laborers off Mall 205 property.
Workers say their way of life changed drastically in July, when they were blocked from using the Home Depot parking lot to wait. They now use Southeast Washington Street, which they say creates a dangerous traffic hazard…
