Raimore Construction to exit I-5 Rose Quarter project in 2027

General contractor Raimore Construction will leave the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project early next year after six years of work. The Hamilton/Sundt Joint Venture (HSJV) and Raimore Construction announced on Thursday plans for a phased transition as the contractor completes its remaining preconstruction and construction activities.

Raimore will complete its current scopes of work by the end of 2026 and remain part of the team through early 2027 to prepare for the next phase of the approximately $2.1 billion project. The transition will provide time for Raimore, the HSJV and the Oregon Department of Transportation to transfer the firm’s remaining responsibilities, the HSJV stated in a press release.

The HSJV will carry forward these responsibilities, including community and workforce engagement, mentorship and partnerships with small firms, stated Angela Murphy, a spokeswoman for the joint venture, in an email. Building upon the foundation Raimore established, the HSJV will continue working with community organizations and industry partners with whom the team has established relationships to support outreach, workforce development and connections to construction opportunities throughout the project…
