VANCOUVER, Wash. (KPTV) — A Clark County sheriff’s deputy was lawfully justified when he stabbed a man 17 times during a fight inside a breath-test room last year, the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said Monday, while the man’s family continues to challenge the killing in a $27 million claim.
Prosecutors on Monday said Deputy Bryson Layton met Washington’s objective good faith standard when he used a knife against Marc Fogle, 54, on May 7, 2025. No criminal charges will be filed.
