Clark County deputies discover over 100 marijuana plants in homeless camp

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A patrol in Clark County investigating livability issues led deputies to discover over 100 marijuana plants in a large transient camp earlier this week.

Clark County Sheriff’s Office officials patrolled near Highway 99 and 99th Street to address high-crime activity, livability issues, and unlawful camping, deputies said.

According to deputies, during this patrol they found a large transient camp with what they described as “hazardous conditions” and almost 100 mature marijuana plants.

CCSO said they called in Clark County Public Works and the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board to assist their response.
