It isn’t every day the governor visits Lakeridge High School. But, following the school shooting in Bend earlier this month, students recently managed to get Tina Kotek to join their efforts to protest gun violence and legislative inaction.
On Thursday, Oct. 22, Lakeridge High School and Lake Oswego High School’s Students Demand Action clubs held a walkout that brought together hundreds of students and a visit from Kotek and Congresswoman Janelle Bynum.
