‘My Stomach Sank’: Sandy Care Facility Cleared Out After DHS Suspends License

SANDY, Ore. (KATU) – State inspectors said Mt. Hood Senior Living, a 50-bed residential and mental care facility in Sandy, “poses an imminent danger to the health and safety of the residents.” On Friday, the Oregon Department of Human Services suspended the facility’s license, and later that evening every resident was moved out. Families tell KATU they were given little or no notice, and that the sudden evacuation put their loved ones at risk.
