90-day fentanyl state of emergency declared by state, county, city leaders

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) – State, county, and city leaders have announced a tri-government fentanyl emergency on Tuesday. Oregon Governor Tina Kotek, Multnomah County Chair Jessica Vega Pederson, and Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler each declared a 90-day state of emergency to deal with fentanyl in Portland. The declarations follow a recommendation from the Portland Central City Task Force.
