ODOT: Highway 30 impacted by ‘lengthy closure’ due to massive rock fall

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) – Crews are on scene of a rock slide just east of Biggs Junction that has impacted Highway 30 with what the Oregon Department of Transportation says will be a “lengthy closure.”

The bureau shared they were “off to a rocky start this morning” on Twitter, formerly known as X , when “boulders the size of cars” tumbled onto Biggs-Rufus Frontage Road Tuesday morning.

It is unclear how long the road will be closed. Officials say to avoid the area.
